Another Review: "I was intrigued by this novel, both because I enjoy reading military thrillers as a reader and also because I have written a similar thriller set in the Indian subcontinent called Line of Control- A Thriller on the Coming War in Asia. In short, this was a book that satisfied me both as a reader and as a fellow writer. It just so happened that I read this book on a day when Israeli diplomats were under attack in India and Georgia and Israel blamed Iran, bringing home just how real the tensions portrayed in this book are. A thriller like this that builds off current realities and headlines has to balance reality with making just the right fictional leaps to stretch the reader's imagination and Mr. Greene does that admirably. As a writer, I really enjoyed the way he wove together current headlines, strong military action, the political intrigue underpinning any such crisis with a believable cast of characters".

Tensions between America and Iran reach the boiling point in 2016 and result in America entering into its first declared war since World War Two. This novel while fiction documents the war as seen from the eyes of an American military family.

Reference is made to fictitious characters such as Colonel Brad Rogers and to public figures like President of the United States Barack Obama. Quotations attributed to President Obama and any other public figures are entirely fiction. The novel blends imagined quotations from fictitious characters and public figures in an effort to add realism to a novel set in the near future.

The novel is number two in a series of action adventure novels that puts a human face to the horrors of war and explores the hardships experienced by military families.
