Description
Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners - physicians and other healthcare professionals - with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

Educational Objectives
The purpose of this program is to improve the management of bipolar disorder. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Weigh risks and benefits of treatment options for bipolar disorder.
2. Appreciate the implications of number needed to treat and number needed to harm in the approval process for medications to treat bipolar disorder.
3. Assess the risk for suicidality associated with various agents used in the treatment of bipolar disorder.
4. Evaluate data on long-term maintenance therapy for patients with bipolar disorder.
5. Choose appropriate therapy for bipolar depression.
