Description
Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners - physicians and other healthcare professionals - with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve the practice of hospital medicine and transitions of care (TOC). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Select the optimal route and dose of corticosteroid therapy for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations.
2: Allow peripheral intravenous (PIV) lines to be extended past 72 hr.
3: Use norepinephrine as the first-line vasopressor agent in treatment of patients with shock.
4: Obtain infectious disease consultations in patients with Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia.
5: Improve the hospitalized patient's transition from inpatient to outpatient care.
