Description
Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners - physicians and other healthcare professionals - with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goals of this program are to improve the management of complications of liver disease and the diagnosis and management of adverse reactions to foods. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Choose the appropriate medication for managing pruritus due to liver disease.
2: Discuss treatment options for portosystemic encephalopathy.
3: Perform the appropriate physical examination and testing for ascites secondary to liver disease.
4: Describe the treatment options for refractory ascites.
5: Distinguish between food hypersensitivity, food protein enteropathy, and food intolerance and treat affected patients.
