Description
Jones looked around wistfully: so this was The Boss's private sanctum. This was where he managed his army of hirelings - hiring people, firing people and, rumor had it, having it off with Tara Simmons from marketing every Wednesday afternoon.
The 'rumor' about The Boss and Tara Simmons had started when Doris from Credit Control had walked in on them one Wednesday afternoon. Tara Simmons had been spread-eagled across The Boss's desk like a spatchcock chicken ready to be barbecued, while The Boss hovered over her, his trousers wrapped awkwardly around his hairy ankles. Doris, a decent Christian woman with high morals, had stood there frozen, face as white as chalk, shocked to the depths of her being. The boss was, after all, a middle aged married man with grown children, and Tara Simmons... well, Tara was the office sexpot who, it was whispered, had had several flings with many (fortunate) members of the staff. If you came right down to it, Tara Simmons (who was absent from her desk every Wednesday afternoon) was the undisputed office sex goddess. Every red-blooded man in the office dreamed of splaying her across their desk - or anywhere else for that matter - and getting into her knickers.
"Get out!" the boss had yelled at Doris. "Can't you see we're in the middle of a meeting? Out! Out!"
And that's how the 'rumor' had started.
So, on Wednesdays after lunch, when Tara Simmons scooped up some 'files' and breezily told her underlings (she was head of Marketing) that she was going out briefly to consult with an important client, everyone tittered behind her back because they knew exactly where she was going and what kind of 'consultation' she would be engaging in.
As Jones stood in front of the boss's desk he was dreamily picturing the curvaceous naked body of Tara Simmons spread-eagled on the desk in front of him. He sighed wistfully.
