Description
The book How to Stop Worrying is a wonderful little book filled with tips and hints on how to stop worrying and how to be happy. The beginning of the book contains an assessment quiz of ten questions. These though provoking questions are meant to help you with the preliminary work of discovering exactly where your worries stem from and how they affect you and your everyday life. The book recommends you write these questions and answers down on a piece of paper to help you nail down the very things that affect your happiness, the negative thinking and the things that stops you from being happy.
The first section covers 15 tips on how to stop worrying. Each tip has either a physical suggestion or a mental suggestion on what you can do to stop those worrisome thoughts from taking over and ruining your day. Many of the tips are about focusing on the positive, by taking the worry out of the equation. The whole point is to realize that worry is not something you have to do. It is a choice you make every minute of every day, to choose to worry over a situation, or to choose to do something other than worry.
The second section covers 15 tips on how to be happy. Another name for this section could be "positive thinking tips." The tips drive home the point that a positive attitude is what you need and to let go of any negative self talk. Each tip gives a suggestion on what to do to bring about happiness in thoughts or deeds. Really, the process to do this is very simple. Worry and unhappiness makes people sick, if they can learn how to deal with it by changing it they will be healthier for it.
