Description
Prentice Mulford - THE New Thought Pioneer. This is the first and second volumes of his unprecedented written works speaking of personal empowerment and true positive thought.
The works you are about to read will in some ways be familiar to those of you who have studied some of our more recent writers and speakers in New Age thought. Please remember that when Prentice Mulford wrote these words he was not calling on the writings of others or trying to cash in on the "New Age Fad." Quite the contrary, as a contemporary of Bret Harte and many other famous writers of his time, these works were more than a little on the edge. Personal courage, a willingness to pursue truth and positive thought, with little or no regard for the skeptics and critic's Prentice Mulford chose a path which can inspire us all. Living on his terms, within the laws that he was able to determine and calling upon an eternal consciousness for inspiration and guidance.
Throughout much of his life Prentice did not pursue the written word. He made a conscious effort not to spend time reading. He believed it was too easy to lean on the words of others. So, he spent his efforts acquiring truths from the source and I believe an eternal all encompassing one.
Clearly, Prentice was versed in the Bible and regularly makes reference to it. But as you read his words it will become clear that his was an inclusive consciousness, one where all things are possible and everything we touch, feel, hear and see are both material and spiritual. He speaks not only of the possible, but gives us a wonderful narrative about those things that previously we could only wonder about. It is truly a magical journey and one which taken seriously and quite literally could very well change your life in the most profound way possible.
Prentice lived from 1834 to 1891, when by several accounts he quite literally transitioned from this life, as he so frequently wrote about. Prior to his departure, he was not known to have any medical illness or disease, was in excellent health, wonderful spirit, and fully engaged in the life he led as he chose to lead it. When his body was found several days after leaving his publisher, there was no apparent sign of illness, trauma to the body, evidence of poisoning or other reason for the death of his body. I'll leave it up to you to decide what really happened.
This is the first installment of our three part series which will include all six volumes of Prentice's inclusive work, "Your Forces, and how to use them." Enjoy and we hope, be enlightened!
