Child Sexual Abuse

The United States Department of Justice states 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be molested before the age of 18. Strangely, these numbers provide comfort to parents, leading them to believe their children are not likely to be victims of a child molester. They teach their children about "stranger danger" and "good touch, bad touch" and think that'll keep their kids safe. What they don't understand is that more than 90% of molested children know their molester, and won't acknowledge abuse even if asked point-blank. Shockingly, almost half of molestations are by a trusted relative. "Stranger danger" accounts for less than 10% of all sexual abuse.

And they don't look like dirty old men, they look like our husbands, fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, sons, and cousins. Female child molesters are significantly fewer in number.

The main goal of child molesters is to find a suitable child to dominate and control. Child molesters often don't care if their victims are related to them or not; all that matters is access. Relatives are granted unsupervised one-on-one contact with children without hesitation. What better setting could a child molester want for his or her twisted fantasies?
Incest is the consummate evil act. It is a betrayal of an innocent child's love and trust. Children molested by strangers can get help and be comforted by their parents; however, incest victims don't have that luxury.
