Description
"Buckle up--this is another crazy ride!" The Scrapyard Ship sci-fi "cliff-hanger" adventures continue with HAB 12, the second book in the series: Captain Jason Reynolds faces new challenges, not only on Earth but from the far side of the universe as well. The only way to stop the Craing this time will be to square off with them on their home turf. Jason's been informed that three powerful Craing warships, having similar technology as The Lilly, will soon be en route to Earth. The Alliance must destroy the Craing's wormhole means of distant space travel to avert Earth's total annihilation. Unfortunately, there's no way to reach the Craing worlds in time, at least not through conventional means. It's up to Jason and his hand-picked assault team to traverse, by advanced phase-shifting means, through the hazardous environment of HAB 12. This is an adventure fraught with carnivores of a Jurassic Age magnitude, and terrain so deadly that turning back may be their only hope of survival. Note from the author: Don't be surprised by cliff-hanger endings. I'll do my best to keep Scrapyard Ship series books coming so you won't have long to wait for the next book. Enjoy!
Reviews:
5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Military Scifi Story
Excellent story. Mark is a thrilling author. From Scrapyard Ship to USS Hamilton, Ship Wrecked, the Fallen Ship, Gun Ship, to Scrapyard Ship Uprising. Mark Wayne McGinnis delivers a compelling book every time. Metaphysical visionary aspects are cool!- Cat
5.0 out of 5 stars. Dig it up and party on!
Amazing. Where do these Authors get the ideas from? Must be dreams, stuff they read, things they have done and seen. Thinking outside the box many of us are in. This Action and Adventure Sci-fi series is off to a good start, so I bought the entirety knowing I'll have a great time after reading book 1. Book 2 was good. Book 3 awaits. And it all began in a scrapyard, who woulda thought. Very exciting, compelling tales of adventure. Thanks, Mark. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Yep, it's a ship hiding under a scrapyard.
A solid military science fiction story, lots of new stuff happening, and constantly evolving tech. Good characters. I for one would like his daughter and ex-wife to use a faulty airlock and get sucked into space. The scrapyard ship saga is constantly renewing itself with new twists and so, it's hard to get bored with it. (unless the kid or his ex shows up). Also, Ricket is a cool character, he does remind me of Marvin from Starforce but that may just be me. Thanks for a great action scifi series.- Dane
What's that saying? "Out of the pot, into the fire".
When Captain Jason Reynolds walked onto the "Lilly," he would never have dreamed what this ship was capable of doing, let alone what he can imagine. The situation on Earth is dire. They, meaning the skeleton crew of the Lilly, needs to head off to Halimar, one of the planets' the Craing are from. This endeavor is to keep three Caldurian ships and the Craing armada from leaving their solar system. What happens along the way, well let's just say, you will not be disappointed to reading this to the end. Thanks for a brilliant sci-fi space opera!- Jimanb
Ghost From my Youth
Great series, well written, and extremely well-edited. Even Cussler, Koontz, and Clancy ebooks are seldom as well-edited. And the adventure is non-stop. These books could quite easily be made into a very updated version of such great SciFi classic movie genres as Forbidden Planet, The Thing from Outer Space (the original), War of the Worlds, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. I can't remember how many hours, as a pup over half a century ago, I daydreamed of finding that long-lost alien spaceship and traveling the boundless limits of space and Mark McGinnis has captured those adventures to a "T"- what a great action and adventure science fiction series!- Watch Cat
