This memoir is my life's journey raising a son who is Bipolar and became addicted to drugs. Having a child who is different and not being able to help them is heart-wrenching. It is difficult to not enable, it is difficult to watch your child's pain and even more difficult to let go and try to take care of yourself. I have shared my story to help others who may in this deep, dark space of mental illness and addiction, as well as abusive relationships. You can survive and learn to take care of yourself. You can learn how to get out of abusive relationships and learn how to cope when a loved one has a mental illness and or addiction. I hope that my story will help you feel less alone.
