INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR
Q: What's Sins of the Father about?
A: Sins of the Father is part psychological thriller, part horror mystery. Mental health disorders are fertile ground for this type of story because they're something we're all susceptible to at some level. It was a bit scary exloring what it means to be a killer, and how, given the right stimuli, any of us could turn into that monster.
Q: Where did you get your inspiration for Sins of the Father?
A: Well, I have a degree in psychology which came in handy as I sat down to figure out how I could accurately depict, and incite, the sequence of symptoms the story calls for. All things considered, Sins of the Father is a break from my usual science fiction and fantasy stomping ground. An experiment in something dark, gritty, and loosely inspired by Stephen King. All things told, this is one of my favorite stories because it hit so close to home.
Q: What does it mean to you when readers pick up your books?
A: It's incredibly humbling. For so long I've slaved away at the keyboard in obscurity. To have my words out in the world being read by fans across the world is a bit surreal. I don't know if I'll ever be a best seller like Hugh Howey, but so far I've met a slew of wonderful people (both readers and fellow authors alike) which has made the whole publishing adventure unforgettable. Thanks to everybody who's taken the time to pick up one of my stories. I can't tell you how much it means to me.
