This work seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the preeminence of Christ. In order to fully understand the preeminence of Christ, a background of the life of the Apostle Paul before his conversion is provided by James Stalker, and well as a brief commentary on the main passage dealing with the preeminence of Christ in the book of Colossians by Alexander Maclaren. Theory, however, is of limited value with no application. This work also seeks to show how Paul's view on the preeminence of Christ impacted every aspect of his life. It is the editor's desire that every reader will also fully realize the preeminence of Christ, and that with this realization will come a changed life.
