Description

"Call To Battle is ridiculously fun!" "A page-turner like no other. Simply loved it!" "It all comes together and I'm sad to see it go!" Welcome to the final, heart-pounding, episode of the Scrapyard Ship series books. It's all about to end in one climactic crescendo. The story continues, with Captain Jason Reynolds, and his team: Billy, Rizzo, and the rhino-warrior, Traveler. They must attempt to rescue Ricket and Gaddy, still held captive aboard the impregnable Dreathlor prison barge. Only then, can Jason return to The Lilly, his highly advanced Caldurian vessel... where it all began. The elusive Admiral Ot-Mul, leader of the Craing Drac-Vin forces, has not only survived but thrived, in the far, outer-reaches of space. With hundreds of thousands of warships under his command, Ot-Mul's combined fleets are on the move. But, in truth, he cares about little else than making one man suffer... Captain Jason Reynolds. With the approach of an enormous fighting force on the horizon, it's the last call to battle. Will the decimated Allied worlds reunite one more time? Will Ot-Mul get his vengeance, by taking those dearest to Jason -- Mollie, Boomer, Nan and Dira -- and use them to rip Jason's world, his very existence, apart?

Reviews:

Scrapyard Ship Book 7 by Mark Wayne McGinnis / An engaging series!
This book was an entertaining story, that was too soon over! I like these types of military scifi space opera stories because the characters become "people" you know and want to find out what adventures they get up to. Mark Mcginnis your story didn't let me down and I can't wait to catch up with your characters, my "friends" again in new stories! Also loved the USS Hamilton series, USS Lincoln Mercy Kill.- Mike

Best Book and best author, ever!!
Mark does it again, this time ending the Scrapyard Ship box set series with Book 7, Call to Battle. The gang's all here: Captain Jason Reynolds, Mollie, Nan, Dira, and the Lilly. Nobody does Space action and adventure like MWM. I love all his books: the Star Watch series, Ship Wreck Stranded on an Aline World, Boy Gone Galaxy Man,The Fallen Ship, Guardian Ship, the Hidden Ship, The USS Hamilton series, and USS Jefferson.- Mary

Surprising! Great wrap-up of the series.
Now let's have a new storyline so we can keep the crew together on a new adventure.
Surprising! Book 7 of Jason and crew and the Scrapyard Ship. I've had some heartburn with previous books in series and Mr. McGinnis' failure to find solutions to elements like Stalls and Ot-Mul; or to the romantic relationships. I was concerned as this book progressed that we were having more of the same. I was wrong. Mr. McGinnis finally gives us some solutions. Well, I'm still a little vague on why Stalls isn't dead.

This really was a great wrap-up to the series. Battles fought; relationships strained and strengthened; loss and hope.
My hope is that we have more of Jason and Dira;
Ricket and Traveler; and as much of the gang as Mr. McGinnis can get in.- jjdrymiller

A Fitting End to a Great Series
I've read every book in this series and really enjoy it. It's just fun entertaining Science Fiction. There's lots of cool stuff, plenty of things outside the ordinary, but all of it works. I like the alien characters and how they interact with the heroes. After 7 books you get to know the characters very well and feel like you know them. McGinnis' writing style is uncomplicated. He doesn't rely on lots of flashbacks to confuse the reader. The plot flows in straight lines so it's an easy read. Almost too easy in fact, since I get through the series' books in two days. But I'm reading for enjoyment and relaxation, not developing deep insights or introspection. Phase shifting is the key element the story relies on to make for interesting battle situations. That and some very superior battle armor. I'm not saying more for I don't want to spoil the fun.-M
