Description
My great grandmother Bridget Vaughn Wilson left Ireland penniless in 1851 to escape starvation during the potato famine and made her way to America.Over her lifetime, most of which was spent in Savannah, she faced enormous tragedies and experienced events such as the Civil War which most of us can only read about in history books. Incredible though her life's story may seem it is all true. Events depicted in the book are documented.
