Description
November 1907. Trapped in grimy Creakie Hall on the edge of the wild and empty Norfolk marshes Zilla Bunting, maid of all work, faces the endless drudgery of her life as best she can but when the sweet smell of strawberries, so wrong for the time of year, captivates her she is drawn towards disaster. As the story unfolds ghostly secrets and long hidden wickedness come to light. The dusty, abandoned rooms hold answers to an old mystery but is there anyone Zilla can turn to for help to unravel it? In a tale that creeps under your skin will help arrive too late?
And who is in the attic their voice fraying like fine threads of whisper floating and twisting around the room as they sing, "Bye Zilla Bunting, the ink has gone ahunting... "
