Description
Discover How to overcome a pessimistic Person!
Being a pessimistic person is a tendency that could prove to be fatal for your social and professional life, and you could be a social stigma and be stuck in that zone without even realizing. What if you get an invitation to visit a friend: you imagine driving in a drab day, looking just to reach the destination safe, and upon reaching the conversation or the welcome is just not enough. There goes a perfect social outing opportunity that you will never venture to find out whether it could have played like this, long driving on a beautiful day, and the excitement of meeting an old friend, all the memories shared together recollected and rejoiced. In short, being pessimistic is the bane in the path of your happiness.
Don't get us wrong, negativity works like a charm for self-defense in a lot of situations where you are desperately trying to come out unhurt by expectations that are never going to be fulfilled. But the tendency to be a wet blanket or dispositional pessimist would creep up to you every now and then to ruin a perfect chance at what could have been your shot to happiness and enjoyment. Pessimism doesn't go a long way in life as a mental strategy. In that scale, optimistic people tend to do a lot better because taking the little risks could define how your life will turn out for good or bad, but at least it won't be boring. Depression comes to the pessimistic more often than not, meanwhile success and money tends to run the other way.
And this is not only for philosophical reasons that pessimism is considered an affliction in your life. There are scientific studies that could prove you are a lot better being optimistic than downright sadistic. A cardiovascular study of 900 volunteers in the Netherlands has found pessimistic people not only have a shorter life span and greater tendency to die by heart disease, but they also get a lot of other diseases that could all lead to potentially more serious ailments. To top it off, dementia has been found more common is pessimists.
