A Rooftop Above Reality takes the reader on a never before seen walk through New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina - one of the most costly natural disasters in the history of the world. It's a memoir following a few close friends and two very patient dogs spending some quality time together after the levees broke. This is their story. The dogs story, too.

As far as Katrina evacuees go, they were not the people the country saw stranded on rooftops during the media barrage once the hurricane made landfall. The people the world saw as victims. This is a group of real people in an unreal scenario, doing their best to get by, and figuring it out as they went along.
