Description

? Man by day, wolf by night. Can he be loved by any woman? Raven Awards: Runner-Up ?

The Wolf:

Lord Hugh de Bar is a prisoner who has been cursed. By day he's a man, but by night he shapeshifts into a wolf. After being released from his prison by an unknown person, he and his brother go back to Castle Babeny, and Hugh vows to kill his captor, Lord Roland Chaserton of Tavistock. In the woods one night, he sees a woman in a red cape armed with a cross bow killing wolves. He is able to force himself back into human form and captures the woman who happens to be the granddaughter of his enemy. With her as captive, he can lure the baron out of his castle to kill him.

The Lady:

Lady Winifred Chaserton is known as Red. She defies her grandfather and sneaks back to the woods one night, unescorted, to investigate a secret door in the woods she is sure she saw. While there she is almost attacked by a wolf, but saved by the handsome Lord of Babeny - the man they call wolf. Her hope diminishes as she discovers he means to keep her captive and that she is being used as bait. The man's intense gaze devours her and she feels as if he wants to eat her. This scares and excites her both. He is the most dangerous man she's ever met, yet at the same time he is the most intriguing person that has ever captured her interest. She digs deeper to find just what secrets he hides behind his cool stare.

Will the de Bar brothers find redemption from dark magic that has brought such turmoil into their lives? And can enemies turn to lovers as each of them discovers about the other that there is so much more than meets the surface?
