Uplifting!
While I don't typically read self-help books, I did enjoy this book immensely. The author manages to establish an intimate connection with the reader, implementing the values of equality and respect which are being discussed and emphasized throughout the book. There is no feeling of superiority or judgement.
The book touches on so many different aspects of happiness, from personal stories to scientific facts, so every reader can find their own niche.
A mom to a 7 years old girl, in particular I enjoyed the chapters dealing with family and people. I strongly identify with the values presented by the author, some of which, I believe are fundamental to the Montessori education method, which I embrace.
The book encourages us to revisit and redefine success, achievements, and happiness;
The author provides us with an authentic reminder to always respect others as well as ourselves!
