Description

Sioux Falls is a small town with a big problem...

Marshall Dave Stevens has one goal - to capture the notorious outlaw, Ned Bartell, and put him behind bars once and for all.

After tailing the criminal and his troop of riders, Dave witnesses their interception of a large shipment of gold, but he doesn't go unnoticed.

He escapes with his life, but it soon becomes obvious that Bartell won't tolerate anybody foiling his plans to keep the gold for himself and become the most powerful man on this side of the Californian border.

After speaking with the residents of Sioux Falls, Dave suspects that there is more to Bartell's notoriety than simply stealing gold bars.

A man of many enemies, is transpires that Bartell caused the deaths of thousands of troops during the Civil War when he sold the secrets of his Confederate comrades, before fleeing, and Dave isn't the only one set on bringing this traitor to justice.

He soon finds an ally in Marie Devlin, a singer at the Lost Trail saloon, who has her own reasons for wanting Bartell brought down.

Then there's Rick Thorpe, an ex-army veteran set on avenging the deaths of his fellow soldiers after Bartell betrayed them. Surely with so many on his side, Dave can defeat Bartell and his men?

But it won't be easy.

With the justice system in Sioux Falls corrupt, Sherriff Mawson only takes orders from Bartell's men and Dave soon realises that the outlaw's allies vastly outnumber his own.

With seasoned shooters now on his tail, all determined to prevent Dave's investigations from going any further, can he find the gold and put an end to this tyranny before Bartell finds him first... ?

Traitor's Gold is an exciting western adventure with a charismatic hero which will have readers gunning for his victory.
