Description
Paul Shryock and his wife, "co-pilot" and navigator, Lana purchased a 50 year old transport bus that had been converted into a fully self-contained motorhome. Their plan was to use it to travel in their retirement years, and in an effort to build new memories that had no ties to their painful past.
He felt that he had to do something to help his bride return to life after the tragic death of their daughter. This "something" turned out to be a half-century old bus.
Paul knew that he had no clue how complex such a vehicle was. And he certainly didn't fully understand the challenges of maintaining a half-century old bus that had been converted into a fully self-contained motorhome. Doing so challenged his meager skills, and his patience. Time after time he encountered technical problems and situations that were beyond his ability to resolve.
Since his bride was not mechanically gifted, Paul was on his own... or was he? They soon discovered they had a very close partner in this little endeavor - one they had not expected. They discovered firsthand that no detail or aspect of their lives is too small for our loving God to pay attention to and get involved in, often in ways they did not expect.
And they also learned that God shows his extravagant love for his children in the most unexpected ways.
