Description
Wendell Holmes (1809 - 1894) was a distinguished and accomplished man in many fields, particulary literaryones. He was well-known for both his poetry and his novels and admired by many of his contemporaries. This book contains a collection of essays all linked to medicine and its practise. Some opinions expressed were far from conventional at the time, and caused a degree of outrage among his readers.
