Description
Thus Spoke Zarathustra, first published between 1883 and 1885, is one of the most famous works by the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It is a treatise in four parts; a philosophical and literary work, a novel. It tells the story of the Persian prophet Zarathustra, (character based on the Persian prophet Zoroaster), that after years of solitary meditation in the mountains, comes down to the regular world to tell people that God is dead and that the Superman, the human embodiment of divinity, is his successor. The author described it as his deepest philosophical work, in regards to the issue of the death of God and Superman's appearance. This volume includes Illustrations and "The Exaltation of Friedrich Nietzche", by Otto Heller.
