Description
When a handsome stranger sails in to Gull Bay he sets a few pulses racing, none more so than the one belonging to bakery owner April Hart. It is not long though before one lady's pulse, rather than racing, is stopping. Well before their time.
When the body of one of the local wealthy widows washes up in the harbour, wrapped in a fishing net, it is clear that she didn't get tangled in the net by accident. It also seems immediately obvious who has committed the crime, for the stranger has sailed out of Gull Bay as quickly as he sailed in. With the police utilising all their resources to try and track him down, it is up to April to try and clear his name before he is found. For she is sure that the murderer can be caught much closer to home.
Ashley Cain is a writer who feels blessed to have lived on the small island of Jersey, the sunniest area in the British Isles. Burned at the Bake is the first book in the Gull Bay Mystery series. Whilst the small but beautiful island of Jersey is filled with sandy beaches and pretty bays, Gull Bay and it's buildings and residents, exist only in the author's imagination.
30% of the profits from the Gull Bay Cozy Mystery series is given to support women's charities on the island.
