Description
A Bundt cake is a cake made in a fluted pan called a "Bundt" pan. This pan is shaped like a doughnut, with a hole in the center.
When cooking with a Bundt pan, the recipe used has to be very moist, as more of the cake's surface will be exposed to higher temperatures than normal. Bundt pans also require every nook and cranny to be well-greased and floured to make the transferring process easier and to prevent uneven cooking distributions.
Most flavors of cake can be cooked in a Bundt pan. The finished cake can be marbled, iced, decorated or filled. Flavors of Bundt cakes include chocolate, lemon, pumpkin and carrot.
