Description
I met Ms. Pokey nose again, that too in Brown Estates. I thought it was my delusion again.
But she spoke this time, "I am here to see, The CEO."
"The designation outside the cabin states, The CEO, Ms. Johnson."
"I didn't ask for your time gentleman. I was expecting to see my father's friend, Mr. Brown."
"I don't remember if I'm friends with your father." A smug smile ran across my face seeing the confused expressions of a once very confident girl.
"There is some mistake on my part I guess. I am sorry for wasting your time."
"Brown, Aaron Brown." I introduced myself as I wanted to know everything about her. I thought it was time to be happy again. But next when she introduced herself.
I am Ava, Ava Johnson."
I realized I was looking for the wrong person.
------
Ava
"Why?" I asked.
"Don't you seek revenge to get back what belongs to you?"
"I do, but why me?" I asked assessing him from top to toe.
"Because it's time for me to choose between turning the page or closing the book."
"What?."
--------------------------
"How about a deal of mutual benefit?"
"A deal of mutual benefit?... is Mr. Brown not competent enough?" I raised my brow.
"I can't marry myself. My parents at least deserve a daughter-in-law if not a perfect one."
I swear I wanted to pull off that dimpled smile from his smug face.
We made a deal while I wondered what grudges Browns hold against my Ex-fiancée's family, The Smiths, but how my dad became an untrue friend of his best pal?
-------
This girl drives me crazy. "I should have claimed you the night we got our marriage booklets," I whispered kissing her shoulder blade.
-------------------------------
"What are you doing Mr. Brown?" I asked.
"I am going to break this iceberg between us, Mrs. Brown." His hands reached higher from behind and my breath hitched. He was dangerously close and my sensitive skin was getting vulnerable. I tried to hold myself together but the tension between my legs was increasing.
-------
While looking for a perfect bride, Ava ends up visiting the marriage registrar's office with Aaron. Why?
Is she only a ploy for his revenge game?
