Description
Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners - physicians and other healthcare professionals - with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve the perioperative management of adult patients with congenital heart disease and coronary stents. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Outline the cardiac pathophysiology associated with common forms of congenital heart disease.
2: Anticipate challenges that may occur in providing perioperative care to patients with congenital heart conditions.
3: Identify major risk factors for late stent thrombosis.
4: Recognize the risks associated with premature discontinuation of antiplatelet therapy, and their management.
5: Plan the perioperative management of patients with drug-eluting stents.
