Description
Purpose - A humorous one act skit for the Christmas season that tells the story of Christ's birth from the viewpoint of a skeptical shepherd . The adult or child actor should be enthusiastic and use exaggerated gestures and movements.
PREVIEW -
[Thimonius is lying on his bedroll, deep asleep. He snores loudly and wakes himself up. He sits up, yawns and slowly looks around.]
"Hey, where did everybody go?"
[he stands up, stretches and looks again.]
"Yo! Anyone out there?"
[to the audience] "Where is everyone?" "Who's looking after the sheep?"
[Thimonius searches back and forth across the stage. He calls out.] "Hey, this isn't funny. Come on back guys."
[to the audience] "Well, that's what I get for falling asleep. I'll bet they're just over that hill laughing at me all alone here in the dark with all these dumb smelly sheep. Oh, baa yourself! That's what I get for being a shepherd.
