eReaderIQ Submission Guidelines

When you submit your book to eReaderIQ, there are three possible outcomes. Your book will be 1) accepted on the date requested, 2) accepted, but needing a different date or 3) declined.

To Be Featured Your Book Must Be...

  • Well rated. We are looking for books with at least 5 reviews and a high overall average. Books with fewer reviews may be considered if the author has a history of good ratings.

  • Attractive. In this business, we do read a book by its cover. Covers must be attractive and professional.

  • A full-length book. Novellas and short story collections are unlikely to be accepted if they are not free.

  • Fresh content for our audience. We will not feature the same author more than once every 30 days, nor will we feature the same book more than once every 90 days.

  • Discounted until midnight. Books need to remain at their discounted price at least until midnight Pacific Time on the day they are promoted.

Please note that even if your deal meets all of the above criteria, it is not guaranteed that it will be chosen for a feature.

If your submission is not selected and you would like to resubmit your book for future consideration, please wait at least four weeks before doing so.

Optimization Tips

  • 1. Make your deal competitive

We promise our readers low prices. The better the deal you offer, the more appealing it is to our readers. We rarely list books above $1.99, but $2.99 books can do well in categories where users expect to pay a bit more.

  • 2. Accumulate reader reviews

Reader reviews help us get a sense of how readers have responded to your book. As a part of our review process, this gives us an idea of how our subscribers will respond to your title. We do check reviews for authenticity.

  • 3. Have a professionally designed cover appropriate to your genre

Our first impression of your book as well as our readers' first impression will be its cover. As such, we require that your cover be professional, appealing and true to its genre. If you list a book as fantasy, but have a topless man on the cover, it is unlikely to be accepted.

  • 4. Optimize your book description

Our second impression of your book is its description. If it is not informative, clear, well-written and error free, it may affect our consideration of your book. It can also negatively impact initial opinion of our subscribers.

  • 5. Be flexible with your promotion date

Because we have a fixed number of slots in each category, we may accept your submission, but request that it be run on a different date. Flexibility in your promotion dates can help with the approval process.
