Description

The Star Mark is the first of the two book Dragon's Gift saga. The Crystal Mark will conclude the saga.

Tom Bradon had survived a brutal and barren childhood in an orphanage of a strick religious order from the age of five to eighteen, learning to fear and reject magic as evil. The first five years of his life were simply missing from all records and his memory. He had come a long way from his years in the orphanage and now, as an adult, he was an archaeologist, a college professor, and the leader of an expedition traveling through space to determine if a recently discovered planet was civilization's fabled home planet of Earth.

Never feeling at home on his world, he was amazed at the feeling being home on this new planet. A feeling of rightness had enveloped him from the moment he set foot on its lush green fields and ran his fingers through the clear running streams. Those first five missing years of his life and that little scar between his eyes had never been explained but now will become the key to his true identity, his true purpose and his future.

He will have to confront the dissolution of everything he thought he knew about his world and everything he believed about himself in order to leave behind his disastrous childhood and develop into the wizard he was destined to be. He must save himself, the beautiful TanLa, who foresaw their joined destiny, and the very Earth itself from the non-corporeal evil presence that had brought Earth's civilization to an ignoble end four thousand years ago and who still reigns supreme.
