Description
The year is 1145. Our hero, Guillaume Hagan: reluctant Duke of Terbin.
Having spent years suffering under the erratic command of General "Mad Bundy" Bohemund, Hagan is catapulted back to civilisation following the death of his father.
When he arrives at his the ducal House he almost can't believe his luck.
The servants assure him they will take care of everything, brandy is in fine supply, and Mlle Tippin's shortbread is to die for.
He wants nothing more than a life of quiet luxury.
But when Turkish forces conquer the Christian County of Edessa in the Holy Lands a ball is set rolling that will trample over Europe - and utterly destroy Hagan's plans for a happy retirement.
He soon learns that being a governor isn't so easy after all...
