Description
After having successfully crossed the Great Plains, Sam and Jay are faced with building and defending The Bartlett Ranch. Through hard work and steadfast determination, the ranch is established and flourishes while they raise their young son, Tom, to manhood. Along the way he meets the love of his life, Sue Hobbs. Through sheer tenacity, and a genuine love of the Lord, the family of pioneers take on the nearly insurmountable odds associated with establishing a foothold in Indian country, head-on. They manage not only a foothold, but also a flourishing horse-ranching endeavor that is destined to someday become one that will prove instrumental in settling the savage lands of the southwestern United States. But this doesn't come without cost as, along the way, Tom loses a number of things that are dear to him, including his faith in the Lord.
