Description
As Simon Hadley finally gets a grip on what he is and what he is capable of; he once again gathers his friends around him, but this time it is just a question of survival. The demise of Ithamar and his magic might have been denied to the wealthy and ruthless cartel that had been allied with him, but they are building on his inheritance and achieving the power that they sought without him.
As events escalate and he again finds himself in circumstances beyond his control; the Ark assists him and his three friends to escape this turmoil, and to pass to another world. Unfortunately this assistance proves to be a mixed blessing, as they are caught up in events akin to their own ancient history, but where powerful magic prevails alongside the other forces of nature.
Once again they are confronted with the rise of a familiar black sorcery, but now Simon is a sorcerer who wields significant magic that gradually sets him apart from any other who is infused with the magic.
Here they also discover the footprints of the alien Carzars, and learn more of the magic that these beings manipulated, and Simon begins to realize that all that had happened to them might well have been due to some grand plan devised by these aliens in antiquity.
