Another three Amazing True Stories, from the pages of history for "Believe It Or Not!" Book 3

The first story "Eagle's Revenge" concerns a small Coast Guard Cutter sent out to see what the British enemy ships were doing in Long Island Sound during the war in 1822. They were full sized "Man-O-War" ships and carried 10 times as many cannon as the Eagle's two four pounders. Captain Lee of the Eagle, however, was a force the British had not reckoned with, and he won the day!

The second story is of Major Alexander De Seversky who achieved Ace Pilot status while flying for Russia against the Germans in the First World War, then migrated to the U.S. where he later received the Harmon Trophy as the Outstanding Airman of the year from President JD Roosevelt. (All of this while carrying an injury that would be disabling to most)

The third and much longer story is about an American Legend, William Phips, who brought home to King James of England a massive 32 ton load of Silver, Gold and Jewels that he recovered from the Caribbean in the 1680's. This earned him the title of Governor of Massachusetts Province by Royal Decree!
