Description
Forced to go to a Christmas party with his parents and annoying little brother, a modern day 'tween's holiday cynicism is challenged by a mysterious old man who tells the tale of Mark, a boy growing up in Depression Era New York the week before Christmas. About to turn 13, Mark thinks he may be too old to believe in Santa Claus anymore. On top of this he's taken a romantic interest in a girl from the church choir, Anna, but their difference in social standing threatens their growing affection. At home, Mark must also cope with the effects of the Depression on his father's self-respect. As Christmas Eve approaches Mark must find a way to restore the bond with his widowed father as well as help Anna find her self-confidence to sing at an important Christmas event. Santa is the least of his problems, or so he thinks until one fateful night, Mark's belief in faith, hope and love are put to the test.
