As in the first book, (Dear Cinderella), Dear Little Mermaid explores the lost art of letter writing and teaches children to take pen, pencil, or crayon to paper as a way to express themselves and stay in touch with someone special. Writing partners, Chad Gilkison & Scott Parrish, have chosen to collaborate with their 5 year old twins, Lukas & Olivia Gilkison-Parrish, on the artwork for Dear Little Mermaid. Since this book inspires children to write and create, what better way to teach their own children these basics and give them an opportunity to be involved in something creative.
