Description
The 10 stories in The Strip aren't "good," they don't "conform to literary conventions," nor do they have "the old verities and truths of the heart." The Egoists at The Strip love that speech, but William Faulkner is dead and he certainly doesn't run the publication. The Strip is simply full of work that the Egoists f-cking like. The selection process is totally subjective and the Egoists don't have to justify it to you. This is American writing - you know it when you see it.
