Description
1886 - Lillian age 13 and her brother Charles age 10, avoid an orphan home after their father dies of a heart attack by allowing the towns people to assume that their father is still running the farm. Her hard work and Charles ingenuity not only allow them to continue raising sheep and goats, but help others during difficult times. Several years later, Lillian is forced to confide in the Judge presiding over a murder trial to save the life of an innocent man. From then on, their lives take many twists and turns.
