Description

An unprepared and cynical reservist soldier gets deployed to Iraq to a surprise job, searching for improvised explosive devices on the mean streets of Baghdad, Iraq in Feb. of 2004. Besides searching for IED, the author is exposed to and recounts the dreariness, horror, and excitement that combat has to offer while attached to the US Marines and other units under the First Cavalry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
