Description
Can true love really conquer all?
Casey was the golden boy. A former quarterback. Painfully handsome. And used to getting whatever he wanted.
Miranda was the one girl who wasn't impressed. Beautiful. Quick-witted. Sharp.
After a bizarre first meeting, and despite her obvious dislike for him, something between them clicks.
But Miranda has a secret. And it could destroy everything.
Told from Casey's point of view, About the Fall is a gut-wrenching romance novella about first love, heartbreaking truths, and the kind of loss that changes you forever.
This book will swell your heart. Break it. And then piece it back together.

3 Questions with Chai Rose
1. Q: What genre would you say this book fits into best?
A: Overall, this book belongs with the new adult and college romances. It also fits with ya college romance. But there is also an underlying theme that revolves around Casey being a former college football quarterback... so college romance sports is also a place where it fits.
2. Q: This book was published almost 10 years ago. Yet, it's mostly set in the mid-90s. Why is that?
A. Well, I wrote the first edition of this book when I was in college back in 1995. Then around 2014, I decided to revisit it. I reworked a couple things including cutting out an entire storyline, which dropped it from being a novel to a shorter novella -- about a two-hour read... depending.
But also, part of the book takes place 20 or so years down the road. So, the mid-90s fits. Or it did when I first rewrote it.
3. Q: What else do you want readers to know about this book?
A: I hope this book resonates with people and, for the most part, I think it does. Some of the comments about helping people deal with tough things in their own lives are really meaningful to me. I mean this is about an emotional college romance. It's a romance college book. But it's for anyone at any age. It's about evolving and living a good life. It's about drawing goodness from life despite the cards we may have been dealt. And I hope that's the overall message from this book. Yes, most readers will cry -- both tears of sadness and happiness. But my hope is everyone finishes this book feeling good.
