Sava rides to the land of the gold-rich Agathyrsians, famed in the Greek epic, `Jason and the Golden Fleece'. Known as the `Blue People', they tattoo their skin and dye their hair blue. There he meets a beautiful abused slave girl, Dodona. She disguises Sava to get him into a secret Bacchanal for the Wine God, Dionysus. As a child Dionysus was ritually ripped apart and eaten (Sparagmos) by the Titans. Then he was resurrected by his true father, High God Zeus.

At the Bacchanal, the Maenads, `Mad Women' of Dionysus wear live serpents in their hair. They mix powerful mind-bending drugs with the wine. `Drink! Drink!' Black Mages use mass hypnosis to turn the Bacchantes into flesh-eating zombies. If Sava is discovered, he will be eaten alive (Omophagia).
