Description
Up until a few days ago, "ghosting" meant blocking some loser on Twitter. Magic? That was something that only happened in Netflix binges and bad dreams.
But now? Now I know better.
Because ghosts are real.
And the old woman who lives in that rotting, shadow-soaked mansion in the middle of nowhere? The one with eyes sharp as knives and a voice like rusted chains? Turns out, she's my grandmother.
Yeah. My dead grandmother.
At least, that's what Mom and Dad always told me. "Died before you were born," they said. "Nothing to know, nothing to ask." But they lied. And now, because I got kicked out of school again, they've packed me up and shipped me off to this nowhere town to "look after her." More like she's looking after me. Watching me with those hollow, knowing eyes.
Something's wrong with that house. With her.
Rooms clean themselves when I'm not looking. My things move like someone's been sifting through them with cold, invisible hands. There's a kid -- small, silent, always lurking at the edge of my vision. Every time I snap a picture, his face comes out wrong -- blurred, stretched, like he's slipping away from reality.
And the noises at night? The creaking floorboards, the sighing walls, the whispers in a language I don't understand? It's not the wind. It's never the wind.
Then Nana drops the real bombshell: The family business.
See, our bloodline has a job -- an ancient, terrifying job. Ghosts get stuck here, caught between this world and the next. And it's up to us to send them on their way. Or else.
Because if we don't...
If I don't...
Something worse than ghosts will come crawling out of the dark.
Something hungry.
Something that wants to tear the world apart, starting with me.
And I don't even get a damn training manual.

Reader Response to LEGACY
AWESOME
"Great book. Full of excitement and supernatural."
I'M SO HOOKED"
Wasn't sure I was going to like this book when I first started reading it - Keira's attitude toward everything just wasn't for me but she grows up and matures quickly and I grew to love her. She's very spunky and very powerful and the love she had for her GM at the end was very sweet. Definitely will be reading the rest of this series!! Big thumbs up!"
AN ENJOYABLE READ
"The book is well written, and easy to follow. I loved the big twist! This is the first time in a long time that a twist really took me by surprise. She whet my appetite for more. I hope the next book is as good."
