Description

Like most holidays, Memorial Day comes every year. Many get excited because it marks the beginning of summer and the fun outdoor activities we have been waiting for all winter long. To most people, Memorial Day means getting that motorcycle out and ready for your first ride. It's a long weekend break from work and the kick off BBQ of the new season. It's a reason to gather with friends and family and do the things we all love to do. Many family traditions are created and then passed down throughout the generations on this holiday.

To some people, however, this day is more somber, reopening wounds that never seem to heal. It may still include all the things mentioned above but carries a bit deeper meaning. For some, it's a day to take in a parade and pass out Old Glory on a little wooden stick. For others, it marks different traditions, like visiting the final resting place of our fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters. Buddies, friends, comrades. Those who we knew, fought alongside, and perhaps even saved our lives.

Memorial Day: what does it mean to you? BBQs or a Day of Sorrow? Perhaps it's both , or neither. In any case, we hope this book helps to broaden and change your point of view about Memorial Day.
