Description
Maybe it would be a great idea for science to figure out the cure for old age. Maybe genetic engineering holds the promise for a future where everyone will live forever, but inescapably every action leads to reaction. Corporate corruption and power propagating on an unprecedented scale. Mandatory global infertility. The absolute halt of natural progress and evolution. A subtle and unnoticed death of mind while the body lives on strong. Then again, maybe tinkering with death wouldn't be such a good idea after all. Unfortunately humanity won't make that decision collectively, someone will jump the gun and unleash what nature has spent billions of years suppressing.
