This book is a community-inspired project where each chapter is written by one landlord, property manager, or expert on a specific topic.
All of these authors are connected together via a private Facebook group called "RentPrep For Landlords." This group currently has over 3,700 members that share their insights and stories around managing rental properties.
All the profits from this book will be donated back to the charities that inspire our group members.
Each month, we will post to the group what the gross profits of this book are. Members of the group can comment beneath that post with links to fundraisers and charities that they are involved with and we will donate all the funds towards charitable organizations each and every month.
Why do this?
I work at RentPrep, which is a tenant screening company based in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY.
Our mission is to connect and educate landlords to make their lives easier.
Our Facebook group is an awesome way to do this; it's like a water cooler for landlords to swap stories and advice. Our hope is that this book will help further grow the group while giving directly back to the charities that inspire our members.
As our community grows, so will this book. We plan to add authors and address more topics in the future as well.
