Jack King is a postmodern vampire who's assimilated into contemporary American life and upper middle-class culture. He works from home for a software company. And, except for his need to drink blood and avoid sunlight, he lives a successful, if routine, life. Until he meets Holly.

Holly, a commercial photographer, is the blonde whom Jack wants to impress. She's smart, attractive and they click. She's also mortal, which means he can't tell her his true nature. This also means Jack must hold his bloodlust in check around Holly. Their first date is a debacle, but he wants to see her again.

Just when Jack sets up a second date with Holly, his employer sends him and his co-worker, Ted, to Hong Kong to deal with a big client's issues. Unfortunately, the problem is more complicated than they anticipated. In fact, their business contacts in Hong Kong have set a dangerous plan in action, one that could have dire consequences. As Jack and Ted team up with them, Jack's blood-deprived vampire body threatens to reveal his true nature...
