Description
What if you could enjoy an adult-level Spanish book even as a beginner in the language? Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to CHOOSE a book from the wild and diverse canon of Spanish literature that actually interests you rather than be forced to read boring elementary-level texts that were designed in a laboratory to teach but not entertain?
With the "Learn Spanish through Spanglish" series, now you can!
Using a new editing process that took 11 years to develop, "Learn Spanish through Spanglish" books are adapted to allow you to read Spanish books according to your existing level of ability with the language through the use of 13 different versions--each containing different amounts of English and Spanish.
If you're an absolute beginner, you can start reading almost entirely in English, but with a few words in Spanish that you will learn by context and side-by-side translations. Whenever you're ready to challenge yourself further, you can upgrade via a link to start reading right where you left off in the story--but in a higher level that includes even more Spanish words.
If you're already an advanced student of Spanish--or even nearly fluent--you can simply find the level that suits your ability best, and read the book from there; and the final level is entirely in Spanish for when you're ready to take off the training wheels.

"Stories de la Jungle" is a collection of 8 short stories featuring talking animals in the jungles of South America adapted from "Cuentos de la Selva" by the famous Uruguayan author of the magical realism style, Horacio Quiroga.
If you liked stories like "100 Years of Solitude" or "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel García Márquez, well, Horacio Quiroga was a major influence on him and his style, so you're probably going to like these stories, too.
Each story contains a unique & masterful illustration from a scene in the story. Both the story illustrations and the book cover were designed by talented Uruguayan illustrators who grew up on these stories:
The Story of Three Coati Pups and Three Man Pups
The Blind Fawn
The War of the Caimans
The Plucked Parrot
The Lazy Bee
The Passage of the Yabebiri River
The Giant Tortoise
The Flamingo's Stockings
