Description
Will Scotty ever return?
Nantucket, Massachusetts: Nine-year-old Scotty Sullivan dashes out the back door of his family's beach home, his dog, Larry, bounding beside him. They reach the shore, barks and joyful laughter swallowed by the crashing waves. Suddenly, an odd-looking object in the sky draws closer. As dark clouds loom, a flicker of unease crosses Scotty's face. Before he can react, an eerie glow surrounds both boy and dog. In an instant, they vanish without a trace.
Now aboard an alien ship, Scotty faces a reality far from home. The walls breathe, the corridors pulse, and his fear deepens. His abduction was no accident -- Scotty and other children have been chosen for a critical purpose, molded by rigorous conditioning in a harsh, otherworldly Lord of the Flies scenario. As the true threat to Earth reveals itself, Scotty must prepare to confront a destiny that intertwines his fate with the survival of his home planet.
Sixteen years later, Scotty returns to the same Nantucket beach, facing a daunting challenge that could alter the course of humanity.
Reviews:
Another winner by Mark Wayne McGinnis
Action, imagination, adventure, and wonderment all rolled into one. I don't know how Mark comes up with all his unique ideas, but I am glad he does. As with every other book that I have read by this author, I enjoyed this book greatly.

Very Believable Storyline! A Wonderfully, thought-provoking novel!
What an outstanding novel! I REALLY enjoyed reading this book and was thoroughly engaged and interested in the way it unfolded!? Thoughtfully structured and detailed; I was transported into the story as if I were an actual character written into it! The science is well explained and elegantly detailed. The concepts and premise of the storyline are fully plausible to the point of believability.- GHIGGS
Boy Gone by Mark Wayne McGinnis
This author really writes a good story that makes time stop and pages turn. I enjoyed every part of the book. I'm not going to tell you what the story is about because I'm not going to spoil a great time you are going to have read it. Yes, it's SciFi but written in a way that keeps your interest. It doesn't get you lost in a lot of stuff that you have to figure out, it is a story I wish I had written.- Tom
NASA explores scifi extraterrestrials / Fun Sci-fi Alien Abduction!
Compelling, imaginative story with excellent characters and terrific alien culture. Refreshing, snappy, and sometimes humorous prose. Since I am from Massachusetts, the Nantucket location roped me in and wouldn't let me go until I finished this book. Of course, I read it too fast and was sad to find I finished it. This entertaining book is fun action adventure science fiction as it is meant to be! - S
