Enduring the Lie: Ashley's Triumph
Even with cooperation and agreement, the best plans can go sour. Ashley Thompson found that when she agreed to marry the man her parents thought would make a good husband. She had everything he wanted in a wife, connections and a large dowry.
Ashley looked for love and children of her own. Royce got everything he wanted: beneficial results from her connections, a successful business, and invitations to the best social gatherings, and a wife he could dominate. When she did not provide a child, he claimed she was defective.
Shortly after her parents perished in a train accident, he dropped the 'D' bomb on her. Divorce; claiming that she was barren and her parents knew it before the marriage, he filed for a divorce casting her in the worst light. Her lawyer found a way to obtain a better settlement than his offer to provide a pittance for six years and then leave her penniless.
Leaving her home town of Springfield, she gladly moved to a small farm once belonging to her husband's grandparents. From there, her life began anew.
What Ashley learned was that nothing was impossible for God.
