Review from: Dream With Your Eyes Open:

Overall Thoughts: I'm usually wary about anthologies because, while some stories by some authors can be excellent, others can easily pale in comparison and it's sometimes difficult to wrap my head around the difference in writing skill. However, I am not exaggerating when I say that, as a whole, this anthology is among the best I've ever read.

While I definitely won't shy away from the fact that I easily had my favorites in this collection of short stories, the skill that every single one of these writers possess was clearly evident, no matter what I thought of the plots themselves. I also really, really loved the theme connecting every one of these stories together, as the common thread was evident in every work. I highly respect the way the authors made these stories connect together, despite the fact that the individual plots didn't have much to do with each other, and I think it all worked out incredibly well. Sometimes it's hard to see the common thread in collections like this, but - as I said before - I strongly believe this to be one of the strongest anthologies I've read. If I had to think of one thing that connects these stories to another work of fiction outside the anthology, it would be The Twilight Zone. That's what the overall theme reminded me of, and I strongly recommend these stories to any fan of the classic TV show or Black Mirror (which seems to be the modern-day equivalent). I could easily see each one of these stories playing out in my head, and, while I don't know where the inspiration for the anthology came from, I can strongly see a connection between it and the work of Rod Serling. Especially with the stories that seemed to have a bit more of a horror complex.

I strongly recommend that any fan of science fiction/Twilight Zone-esque stories check it out! I only know a few of the authors in the anthology, but I think they all did a brilliant job and I applaud each and every one of them.

Overall Average Rating: 4.5 Stars, rounded up to 5 Stars
